Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

I worked my tail off today. Got lots of little odds and ends cleaned up. Still have to finish up on a major project. It is so daunting that I just don’t want to start it. I don’t typically procrastinate, but on this I’m definitely procrastinating.

I worked all day thinking today was Friday and I would have the weekend starting as soon as I left work tonight. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it was only Thursday. But at least now I still have Friday night to look forward to.

And tonight I have the evening home alone. I’m enjoying the birds singing while I eat my dinner on the deck. I have a peaceful night (no gunfire tonight!). I’m sitting here looking at all the blooms on my strawberries in the garden (last year the deer and the rabbits got everything). It won’t be long until the trees fill in completely and I won’t be able to see the neighbor’s house.

Here is my view tonight. Wish I could share the lovely nature sounds. The frogs will join the chorus later I’m sure.

I’m not just thankful right now. I’m content…and I think that’s a very good thing.

  1. With a view like that, I’d be content too. You’re lucky. Enjoy the strawberries when they arrive. Loooove strawberries.

  2. Beautiful lawn!

  3. I want your deck and view…I’m just saying! lol Beautiful view and yeah no guns!!!
