There are tons of blogs out there talking about freedom we Americans enjoy today. So I’m not going to repeat that theme.
But I m thrilled for the freedom I have as an individual. Freedom to spend time with the friends I want. Freedom to eat what I want at those gatherings (or not). Freedom to enjoy a quiet night at home. Freedom to take a nap in the middle of the day.
Mr. Sun made a brief appearance at our pool party today but couldn’t stay long. We still as fun. I ate too much and probably had too much wine slush. It was, at least, warm. But now here I sit inside wrapped up in a big fluffy robe and slippers freezing. Inside because it rained briefly. I hope I’m not getting sick. My tummy doesn’t feel great. But it didn’t yesterday either.
No fireworks for me. Warren has NEVER in 17 years gone to fireworks with me. But I will see what I can watch on the Internet. Plus there are fireworks tomorrow night after the baseball game.
Now that I’ve had a nap, I’m going to try and read for a bit.
Okay, that was all pretty random stuff. But I’m thankful today for all the freedoms I have…as an American…as an individual…and as a woman.
