Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

I had a particularly long, hard, stressful day today. I got home late and driving home all I could think was that I was making myself a drink.

I stopped at the mailbox…no mail. That usually means that there is a package. I came in the house and there was a box. I assumed it was from my daughter…but I was wondering how she got stuff done to send to me that fast.

I looked…it was from one of my sweetest cousins. I have seen her once in the last twenty five years but we keep up on Facebook. Her dad is my only still living uncle. She had sent me a message the other day asking for my address. I assumed she was updating her Christmas card list or something.

So I ripped open the box. I couldn’t imagine what she was sending me. It was a gorgeous blue fluffy bathrobe from one of the casinos out there. It is soooo soft. I had actually posted on Facebook a few weeks ago that my fluffy bathrobe had seen better days. What a sweetheart!

I’m thankful today for my relatives. I’m really thankful for Jenny. And thankful for my new robe (in my favorite color). She made my night. I was ready to just go to bed with vodka. Instead, now I’m sitting out on the deck with my book de-stressing. Life is good. I am so blessed.
