Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

I’ve had a few rough days. Work has been busy and stressful. My days have been long. I’m not complaining. It is what it is. And my job is just like that. But I love it. I wonder from time to time though if I shouldn’t think about doing something else though. Maybe.

Today I had lunch with a friend. It meant the world to me. Yesterday when I was really down, I sent her a text “what are you doing tomorrow?” Her immediate response was “having lunch with you”. I needed to sit and unload. She was a great listener. I really do feel better. I know she really gets it too.

Friends are so easy to take for granted. I hope I never do. I have some awesome friends, both right here and in the blogosphere. I appreciate each one for their strengths; for their support; for just being my friend.

Do you have friends like that? Have you told them how much you value them? Have you told them you are thankful for them?

  1. I have a few friends like that. They’re a rare and precious thing to have.

  2. I love friends like that. I have one that is the designated “make me laugh” friend. I just call her and she knows she’s got to say something funny. ;). Glad she’s there for you. πŸ˜‰

  3. We all need friends like you describe.

  4. I have one or two – but I haven’t told them how much they mean to me in a while. Thank you for the reminder to do that.

  5. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes I get caught up with stuff and do take them for granted. I’ll make some calls today πŸ™‚

  6. I probably haven’t told them how much I appreciate and value them. What an awesome friend you have, I love her response to your text. I hope you got some rest this past weekend! ~Gina
