Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

Some days I wonder why anyone would follow my blog. I started this last January and I will be hitting that one year mark soon. I need to evaluate things. Do I want to continue? Do I want to change the direction?

I’m leaning towards sticking with my Thanksgiving theme – it really does help me to be more cognizant and aware of the good in every day. However, I don’t know that I want to be locked in to only that – obviously I have branched out with book reviews and reblogs of things I am very interested in. And I don’t know that I want to feel like I have to blog every single day. There are days I just don’t feel like I have enough time, but I created a pocket of time to get something posted.

I’m interested in what YOU, my followers think. I just looked and I have 197 followers (3 are real life people I know). I’m thankful for all of you who read, comment, like my posts. I especially like the interaction I have with many of you.

Thoughts?????

  1. I think you should branch out a little while retaining the Thanksgiving theme. It’s unique and eye-catching. Every blog grows and changes as the person behind it adopts more interests and comfort with the medium. So, maybe include posts on your other interests that you’re thankful to have found. 😉

  2. Charles is right – branch out. I think people love to read rants on just about anything. My site has morphed into a photo blog it seems. Stay with it, make like a tree and branch!

  3. I agree with Charles and John… but whatever you choose to do, do it for yourself. Your readers will still be here 🙂

  4. Add categories and menu tabs, if it helps you feel organized. It is a way we can find your other cool stuff when we browse, and keep being thankful. You are a sweetheart and we love it all.

  5. I enjoy reading your thoughts but I delete the reblogs without reading them.

  6. You should never feel obligated to post, especially everyday! Just post when you want about what you want! Mine started off being about turning 50 but you can only discuss so much of that! I like branching out and discussing any topic. Have fun with it. 🙂

  7. Definitely branch out! I found keeping myself restricted to what I blog about brought me lack of content. Definitely keep your Thanksgiving theme if you so wish, but maybe not on a daily basis. Maybe do a weekly post about what you were thankful for during the week? Hope it helps 🙂

  8. Branching out is good, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to blog every day. 🙂

  9. Write what you want to write, when you want to write!
    🙂

  10. So, I want you two write whatever you want to write and I will read it. How does that sound? I am thinking of you right now and missing the lasagna.

  11. I agree with Charles. I do really enjoy reading all the things you are thankful for. There are some days where I can’t come up with anything and I know that sounds really bad. The things you are thankful for help ground me. ~Gina

  12. I really enjoy reading your blog and i would rather you posted when you can rather than not at all if every day is too much 🙂
