Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

Dragons

I got up at 5:30. Well, actually, I pried my eyes open at 5:30. I finally convinced myself to crawl out of bed at 5:45. It was raining and would have been a great day to sleep in a bit. But I needed to get on the treadmill before I made the long drive to Cleveland.

That drive is always worth it, but it is about 4.5-5 hours, depending on how many breaks I take. I got there just after noon and Soren was screaming and jumping up and down, he was so excited to see me.

It is hard to get good pictures of him because he is a blur of perpetual motion. He played with some cars I gave him and when I told him for his birthday I was going to send him and his mom camping, he asked me to go too. I loathe camping. His party wasn’t as much fun as it should have been. The weather was drippy and soggy and outdoors. But Soren didn’t seem to mind. It was even pretty cool so he had to put on a jacket. His dragon hoodie is adorable.

Today I’m thankful for safe travels in the rain. But I’m especially thankful to see Soren and his mom.

  1. Good shootin’ Pamela. Driving in the rain can add a lot of stress if you drive a long way like that.

  2. That is a really cool hoodie. Glad you had fun family time.

  3. He looks like so much fun. Happy to see him! Happy you got to see him.
