Gabriel Allon not only restores another painting, but he finds stolen paintings and solves a mystery
This is one of the best Allon mysteries. While you know it will all be okay in the end, you don’t know about the journey. And the journey is the best part of the story. It was an engaging story. And even though it is part of a series, they are written in such a way that someone who has not read them from the beginning will still know what has happened in other books.
One disappointment was the use of Gabriel’s team. I always enjoyed all the spycraft and their process. It just seemed to be lighter in that area.
I do recommend this, and all the other, Gabriel Allon book. I gave it five of five stars. Silva never disappoints
