Not just a one day event, I'm blogging every day about what I'm thankful for

My Challenge to You

Yep, I want to challenge you, yes YOU, to look for one thing every single day you can be thankful – some days you will have tons and tons of things you notice – other days you might have to really search.  But I guarantee you that there is at least one small thing every single day in your life.

I’m not talking about the big things (friends, family, faith, careers).  I’m talking about seeing a beautiful butterfly, a glimmer of sun on a cloudy day, those things that we come across, an incidental kindness of a stranger – those kind of things.  Although we should always be thankful for our friends, our families, our faith, our jobs so don’t get me wrong, that is important.

Won’t you join me? Be sure and let me know when you find those little things everyday.

I love the philosophy of your blog. Like you say, it’s easy to be grateful for the big things…but we often take the little things for granted, or worse still, don’t even notice them. I discovered this a few years ago when I started writing a gratitude journal. I thought it would be easy to find 5 things to be grateful for everyday…but, surprisingly, I found it quite challenging.
Like most things in life, gratitude is a conscious choice. Once you choose to look for beauty and be grateful for those little things, the more you will have to be grateful for.
Thanks for sharing your experiences – looking forward to reading more of your posts 🙂

  2. Loved the way you put it forth! It’s a challenge worth accepting. Thank you m’am! 😀

Hi Pamela, I’m just stopping by to tell you that I’ve nominated you for “The Bouquet of Three Award”!

  4. I keep a gratitude journal, although it’s a bit behind at the moment. I have so much to be grateful for today, not least the chocolate and biscuits bought and shared during a group beach trip in the most glorious sunny weather (another thing to be grateful for) and the friends here on WordPress who have appreciated my blog, and Ionia who sent me here to you and….but that’s enough for now:-) Blessings, and keep up the inspiring work.

  5. […] Wednesday is Druid’s day, but it’s also Pamela’s Birthday. D and I wanted to do this especially for you, Pamela! Take it away, […]
