I don’t know about you, but I know that I end up buying my own Christmas presents. Warren doesn’t believe in buying gifts so I never get anything from him. (Except for the year that I handed him the bill for stuff I bought myself and he gave me the money – so romantic, huh?) I do have a friend who always makes sure I have something under my tree though.
Anyway, I found this amazing new thing to use in bed, in my recliner, or even at my desk or the kitchen counter (you know, for all those recipes I use when I do all that cooking LOL!)
It is called an iRest. And it has a stabilizer bar that will allow it to lay on my lap and hold my iPad or my Kindle. So much better than holding something for an extended period of time.
Today I’m thankful for my early Christmas present from me! It is awesome (it arrived yesterday while I was gone). I’ve used it already in bed this morning and then in my recliner. I really recommend this product for people who use a reader or an iPad to read. So much better.
Oh, it was $39.99 from a company called Rain Design, Inc. The angle is adjustable too. Tablets and eReaders fit in the slot that keep them from sliding and moving around. Now I’m wishing I had taken advantage of the buy 2 price (although I don’t remember offhand how much I would have saved). But it is awesome!
I’m thankful I found this – and that I’ve already received it. And I’m thankful that I love it!

That looks like a really useful little tool. Definitely more useful than a lot of the things I see for iPad peripherals.
I know. I’ve bought too many things I was disappointed with. This one is great though!
I bought a book light once and it was about as useful as a firefly. Now I’m more careful. đŸ™‚
Grand idea!
merry christmas đŸ™‚ I like this one a lot. Greg has a cover that props up and open for reading at his place at the table, but it isn’t all that stable. I bought him a device from Brookstone that has a set of bars you snap your iPad into that secures it to a round puffy pillow for use on your chest in bed. he likes it, but he always adds another pillow under it to raise the height.
That’s what makes this perfect. Very stable.
Nice gift idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
Cool gift!! And a bargain. Both good things;)
I have something like that. It does come in handy. I, too, will have to buy my own Christmas gift. I’m thinking of going to the L’Occitane store. đŸ™‚
Now that’s my kind of gift giving! ~Gina
